|
The Twin Cities Northmen stopped the San Francisco Seagulls, 6-4, at Mission Field. The Northmen got a big game from Rick Giardina, who belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ben Hall was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. The loss drops San Francisco to 12-8.
Twin Cities took a 5-3 lead on Giardina's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Dennis Fulton in the top of the eighth, propelled Twin Cities to the win.
Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim praised his team's "energy."
