Explorers Earn 5-4 Win Against Dairymen
The St. Louis Explorers picked up a win at Corps of Discovery Stadium, dropping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-4. Ramon Juarez, who finished 2nd in the ABL in innings pitched with 262.0 in 1973, was the difference-maker. Milwaukee falls to 10-12.

The decisive blow was delivered by Charlie Bartels in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Antonio Cuadra to win the game for St. Louis. The home crowd went nuts.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Bartels.
