Drillers Lose By a Run at Seattle
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

In a tight tilt between the Seattle Emeralds and the Houston Drillers, Rob Banas was the deciding factor. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ron Woods recorded the save for Seattle, his 3rd of the season.

Steve Wells had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for Seattle. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Emeralds leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"What we get, we earn," Wells told the Seattle Bulletin.

The defeat makes Houston 9-12.
