Wranglers Take Tight Tangle
|
The Dallas Wranglers knocked off the Los Angeles Pobladores, 4-3, in American Baseball League action at San Vicente Park. Dallas pitcher and Buffalo, New York, native Steve Coomes had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Coomes surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The win takes Dallas to 8-13.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the top of the fifth, Coomes had a key at-bat for Dallas. With a runner on 2nd, Coomes hit a run-scoring single off Rick Beasley, making the score 3-2, Wranglers.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Coomes.
