Hawks Slap 4-1 Loss on Boston
|
Starting pitcher Mike Haskett was a major factor in the 4-1 Chicago Hawks triumph over the Boston Terriers. The Terriers drop to 11-17.
Tyree Davis, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in home runs with 5, took Boston hurler Ken Torkelson deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Hawks on top, 3-0. In all, Davis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Haskett told the Chicago Herald.
