The game between Chicago and New York is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Chicago Traders topped the New York Knickerbockers, 4-1, in National Baseball League action at Knickerbocker Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Bobby Peters. The Traders have an impressive 23-13 record.
The Traders got a big at-bat from third baseman Marcus White. For the game, White went 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Peters.
