San Francisco catcher Jose Barroso was instrumental in helping the Seagulls triumph, 7-4, over the Dallas Wranglers. Barroso was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Pete Ragsdale was the winner. He's now 6-2. The loser was 1962 Rookie of the Year Award winner Charlie Sokol. With the win, San Francisco upped its record to 23-18.

The Seagulls got a big at-bat from pitcher Pete Ragsdale. For the game, Ragsdale threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.
