The Cleveland Bobcats picked up a win at Lakefront Stadium, dropping the St. Louis Explorers, 4-2. Paul Darch, who is tied for 6th in the NBL in wins with 6, was the difference-maker. Cleveland is now 32-24, 2 games up in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

The Bobcats had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 4-2, Cleveland, with no one out. St. Louis, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Bob Raab dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 splitter, he flied out.
