Baker Sensational, 5-for-6
Saturday, May 31st , 1975
Wayne Baker put on a hitting clinic as the Atlanta Generals dumped the Toronto Hurons, 3-2, at Atlantic Station Field.

The Atlanta left fielder made Toronto defenders earn their pay, lashing Toronto pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Baker said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Wayne Baker singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.

Baker is hitting .270 this year with 1 home run and 12 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .361, 23 walks and scored 11 times.
