Pike Whips Kansas City, 5-0 Saturday, May 20th , 1972 Mark Pike of the San Diego Captains toyed with the Kansas City Bulls, as he shut them out, 5-0, at San Diego Sporting Complex. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 4-hitter with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Pike said in the clubhouse after the game.
