Torkelson at His Best, Blanks Montreal
Saturday, June 5th , 1976
It was a quiet day for the Montreal Habitants at Atlantic Avenue Grounds -- a little too quiet. Boston Terriers starter Ken Torkelson silenced the Habitants, holding them to 5 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 9-0 win.

"It was frustrating against Torkelson today," Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon said.

The Boston starting pitcher walked 3 and allowed 5 hits while fanning 8.

Over the season Torkelson has thrown 74.1 innings and dished out 40 strikeouts with a 3-7 mark and a 6.17 ERA.
