Olivas Torches Explorers for 5 Hits Sunday, June 6th , 1976 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Benito Olivas. Olivas went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off St. Louis pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Corps of Discovery Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Cleveland Bobcats had a win, 5-3, over the Explorers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Benito Olivas singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Dick Lott in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
