Gross Twirls 2-0 Shutout

In a seemingly effortless performance, Gerald Gross of the Twin Cities Northmen shot down the San Francisco Seagulls, 2-0, on 1 hit.
"Gerald was just locating so well and using his pitches," Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Gross recorded 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," San Francisco manager Al Borie said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
Checking out his stats for the season, Gross has notched 3 wins and 4 losses in 10 starts. His ERA is 2.92 and he's struck out 51 batters in 74 innings.
