Curry Struts Stuff in Win Over Philadelphia
Monday, May 27th , 1974
Philadelphia were shut out, 2-0, by Bill Curry and the Brooklyn Bluebirds at Flatbush Park. The Quakers offered little resistance to Curry, who stopped them on 2 hits, fanned 4 and walked 6.
"It just felt right today," the left-handed Curry told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
To date this season, Curry has compiled a 3-4 record with a 3.30 ERA in 9 starts.
