Brown Sizzles, San Francisco Fizzles Saturday, June 24th , 1972 It wasn't easy but Mike Brown made it look that way. Brown silenced the San Francisco Seagulls, 3-0, in a Dallas Wranglers triumph at Mission Field. Despite the appearance of dominance, Brown said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In 16 starts this year, Brown has fashioned a 7-5 record and a 2.87 ERA.
