Cincinnati Blanks New York, 4-0
Tuesday, July 27th , 1976
Art Ledington was in a mood to talk following the Cincinnati Packers contest against the New York Knickerbockers, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Knickerbockers, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Ledington said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked New York on a 6-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 3 strikeouts.
So far this year, Ledington has compiled a 12-5 record with a 3.20 ERA.
