Black Cruises to Shutout Victory Sunday, July 9th , 1972 Larry Black of the Detroit Wolverines shut out the Montreal Habitants, 6-0, on 2 hits. He had 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing at LaSalle Stadium. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Detroit manager Alex Wobbema said later.
