Bobcats Pitching Ravaged by Paige Tuesday, August 17th , 1976 Ron Paige of the Philadelphia Quakers went on a hitting spree against the Cleveland Bobcats pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Bobcats put a damper on his day and prevailed, 6-4, over the Quakers. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Ron Paige hit a two-run home run off Rick Tomlinson in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
