Players-Only Meeting 'Didn't Work': Alvarado Monday, July 24th , 1972 Alfredo Alvarado of the Chicago Hawks said a recent players-only meeting held by Bobby Ramon "didn't work" and may have been more of a distraction than anything. "We know we're not playing good baseball right now, we don't need to hear it from one of the players," he said. "I know Ramon means well, but I think there are probably some guys who are more upset now than they were before we had that meeting." |
