Red-Hot July Lands Sisson Batting Prize in ABL Tuesday, August 1st , 1972 Mark Sisson may be much younger than other hitters in the American Baseball League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in July to win the Batter of the Month award. The 25-year-old Houston center fielder hit .355 with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and 22 runs scored. This season, Sisson has banged out 107 hits in 387 at-bats for a .276 average with 23 home runs. He is getting on base at a .353 pace and his totals also include 68 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |
