Contreras Dominates Pobladores in 7-0 Shutout

In a remarkable performance, Seattle Emeralds starter Hector Contreras beat the Los Angeles Pobladores 7-0 in an impressive 3-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Emeralds hurler finished with 6 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

This season in 28 starts Hector Contreras has a record of 10-9 with 140 strikeouts in 181.1 innings and a 2.98 ERA.
