Gaultney Spins 2-0 Shutout Against San Diego

In a remarkable performance, Brooklyn Bluebirds starter Dave Gaultney beat the San Diego Captains, 2-0, in an impressive 5-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Bluebirds hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 4 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," San Diego manager Joe Mack said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For this year, Gaultney has chalked up 8 wins and 8 losses in 18 starts with 61 strikeouts in 124.1 innings and a 3.62 ERA.
