Peters Struts Stuff in Win Over Houston
Wednesday, September 20th , 1967
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.

Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.

Bobby Peters of the Chicago Hawks proved the point at Hyde Park Stadium today, holding the Houston Drillers to 6 hits in a complete game shutout victory.

"Peters made us look real bad today," Drillers manager Steven Palps said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Peters had 13 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk as the Hawks took the 4-0 win.

In 30 starts this season Peters has rung up a 14-11 record and a 2.03 ERA.
