Los Angeles Shuts Out Twin Cities, 6-0
Sunday, August 3rd , 1975
It was not a good day at the plate for the Twin Cities Northmen. They came up empty when it mattered against Los Angeles Pobladores left-hander Phil Lester, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Northmen scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim said later.
Lester chalked up 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 6-0 Pobladores win.
To date this year, Lester shows a 7-13 record, 23 starts, 167.1 innings, 90 strikeouts and a 4.25 ERA.
