Bulls Blanked by Mojica, 6-0
Tuesday, August 10th , 1971
Jose Mojica kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Chicago Traders were all smiles after winning, 6-0, against the Kansas City Bulls at Union Field. The right-handed Mojica gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits, and tallied 6 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Mojica said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
On his stats sheet for the year Mojica shows a 9-12 record, 25 starts, 163.2 innings, 95 strikeouts and a 3.35 ERA.
