Fredrick Tosses 4-0 Shutout Against Baltimore
Friday, September 29th , 1967
All went well for John Fredrick of the Detroit Wolverines as he pitched his team to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Baltimore Lords, limiting them to 2 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Fredrick on the day.

"John's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Wolverines manager Alex Wobbema. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Detroit right-hander rang up 5 and surrendered 2 walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Lords manager Jordan Wells. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

Thus far this season Fredrick has posted a 18-9 record, started 32 games, struck out 166 batters in 245 innings and compiled a 2.35 ERA.
