Immel Stops New York Sunday, August 15th , 1971 Ben Immel of the Toronto Hurons toyed with the New York Empires, as he shut them out, 1-0, at Queens Field. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 6-hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Immel said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." Currently Immel has a record of 4-9 with 98 strikeouts and 50 walks in 159 innings and a 3.40 ERA.
