Ben Immel of the Toronto Hurons toyed with the New York Empires, as he shut them out, 1-0, at Queens Field. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 6-hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks.

"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Immel said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
