Dennis Fulton was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Los Angeles Pobladores on 4 hits.

"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson after the 5-0 loss to the San Francisco Seagulls.

Fulton finished with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

In the postgame press conference, San Francisco manager Al Borie said Fulton "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."

So far this year Fulton has a 15-12 record with a 2.30 ERA.
