Behind Juarez, San Francisco Blanks Toronto, 6-0
Wednesday, August 20th , 1975
In a seemingly effortless performance, Ramon Juarez of the San Francisco Seagulls shot down the Toronto Hurons, 6-0, on 5 hits.
"Ramon was just locating so well and using his pitches," San Francisco manager Al Borie said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Juarez recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Toronto manager Jim Burns said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
So far this year, Juarez has a 12-9 record with a 2.79 ERA.
