Dick Conway had an impressive outing at Flatbush Park, hurling the Brooklyn Bluebirds to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Washington Eagles.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Washington skipper Juan Placeholder said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Conway yielded 3 hits and tallied 4 strikeouts with 2 walks.
So far this year, Conway has compiled a 8-16 record with a 3.09 ERA.
