Seagulls Move on to League Championship Series Sunday, October 1st , 1972 The San Francisco Seagulls have booked their place in the League Championship Series. By a score of 6-5, the club ousted the Montreal Habitants in the Divisional Round tonight at LaSalle Stadium. San Francisco won the series by a 4-1 margin. The series MVP was Seagulls third baseman Scott Wagner. For his part, the MVP said he is not putting too much stock in the individual honor and instead simply "looking forward to the next round." The San Francisco Seagulls don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles Pobladores - Detroit Wolverines series. Detroit leads the series 3 games to 1.
