Dallas Bats Silenced by Heath
Sunday, October 17th , 1971
San Diego Captains pitcher Ray Heath really got it done at Bluff Park in a 2-0 shutout victory over the Dallas Wranglers, shutting them down on 3 hits.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Heath said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 25-year-old issued 2 walks and had 7 strikeouts in the Captains win.
This year, Heath has compiled a 17-8 mark with a 2.66 ERA in 33 starts.
