Denver Shut Out by Jarry
Tuesday, June 11th , 1968
A favor to his bullpen. That's what Arnold Jarry was doing at Gates Crescent Park today as he blanked the Denver Burros in a 9-inning complete game shutout.
"I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Washington Eagles left-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid."
Jarry notched 11 strikeouts, surrendered 2 walks, allowed 3 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
On his stats sheet for the year Jarry shows a 3-8 record, 13 starts, 101 innings, 64 strikeouts and a 3.48 ERA.
