Bad Behavior Costs Murphy and Unknown Sunday, June 3rd , 1962 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Des Moines-Syracuse contest at Des Moines IA minor league park. The Demons Dennis Murphy and the Hoplites Jim Unknown will have to sit out 4 and 9 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Murphy is hitting at a .284 mark this season. His stats show 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has played 36 games for the Demons. |
